The XT V 160 by Nikon Corporation is an X-ray Inspection System with an inspection area of 406 x 406 mm. This inspection system enables insight into printed circuit board assemblies, components, or electrical devices in an intuitive, non-destructive inspection process. It is supplied with a highly accurate sample manipulator with an optional precision CT rotate axis. The vertical system configuration, with the X-ray tube below the sample holder and the tilting imager is controlled through user-friendly Inspect-X software or via precise joystick manipulation. The XT V 160 is capable of multiple rotations even at maximum tilt and the rotate table 160 provides helicopter fly-around views of any region of interest even at maximum magnification.
The XT V 160 has a focal spot size of 1 μm and can inspect devices and create images with a precise resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It has a 16-bit flat panel detector that produces best-in-class image quality, with seamless transition between 2D and 3D. This system can be configured with a choice of premium system components to optimize performance and also supports fully automated inspection process to maximize productivity. It comes with a software allows users to magnify more than 36,000 times and includes with a 5-axis manipulator which can be used with a mouse or joystick.
This X-ray inspection system features Automated Inspection programs that can be run on any PC, and the ability for 3D inspection that allows digital slicing in any orientation. It includes an open-tube XRay source that allows a virtually unlimited life-cycle, hence, having a low cost of ownership. The XT V 160 is specifically designed for use in production lines and failure analysis laboratories.
