The driving force of PCB Design is the Schematic capture process. Using hierarchical and multichannel design tools with design and circuit reuse incorporating Constraint and Variant Management for intelligent BOM Creation and Signal Integrity planning. In house we use Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics DxDesigner & PADS Logic. We can accept other schematic formats, Protel, PCAD, Cadstar, Orcad Capture, along with importing netlists and layouts from many CAD tools enabling us to support a wide range of users.

We have extensive experience in all types of Printed Circuit Board layouts. High-speed digital/analog, RF & microwave, complex impedance control, differential pairs and matched lengths. A recently completed high-speed layout consisted of 27316 component pin count, 6 x 1936 Pin BGAs, 0.4mm pitch BGAs, DDR3 circuitry, 28 layers, 2000+ 100 ohm differential pairs, micro, blind & buried vias. Mentor Graphics Expedition was used for PCB Layout & Hyperlynx for Signal Integrity verification. For Flex Rigid designs and a combination of components, 3D modelling allows bidirectional transfer to mechanical engineering for interference verification. The generation of 3D animated movies to show how the rigid-flex board will fold.

Altium Designer & Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx are used to addressing Signal Integrity issues early in the design cycle to eliminate costly overdesign & re-spins. Increasingly fast edge rates cause detrimental high-speed effects, even in PCB designs running at low operating frequencies. Pre Layout to create design strategies, PCB stack-ups, constraint routing, clock optimisation, critical signal topologies and termination selection. Post Layout allows Signal Integrity Analysis at three important stages, following part placement, after critical net routing and after the detailed routing of an entire board. Hyperlynx supports designs from Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics Expedition & PADS, Cadence Allegro & Orcad, Protel, PCAD Intercept Pantheon, Zuken Cadstar, Visula and CR3000/5000 PWS.
