Polyester or Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) PCB Boards
Polyesters, also called Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), are the most commonly used material to manufacture flexible PCBs. They are best-known for their flexibility, good electrical properties, and high chemical and moisture resistance.
- They have a melting point of 250ºC and a glass transition temperature of 80ºC.
- They have lower heat resistance that inhibits their use in assemblies that require soldering.
- Polyester films are generally available in a thicknesses of 25 to 125 microns.
- The material is light in weight
Polyester PCB materials are ideal for the manufacturing of Flexible PCB circuits i.e the boards that can be bent to fit into the constricted spaces.
PCB Directory has listed Polyester-based PCB manufacturers from all over the world. You can narrow down on the list of Polyester-based PCB fabricators by their country and state. View each companies profile to see their capabilities and what certifications they have. PCB Directory is the largest database of PCB Companies on the internet.
