The I-Tera MT40 from Isola is a Laminate Material that is designed for high-speed digital, and RF/microwave printed circuit designs. It exhibits exceptional electrical properties and is very stable over a broad frequency and temperature range. This laminate has a dielectric constant (Dk) that is stable between -40°C and +140°C up to W-band frequencies and a dissipation factor (Df) of 0.0028 - 0.0035, making it a cost-effective alternative to PTFE and other commercial microwave and high-speed digital laminate materials. It offers multiple processing advantages such as FR-4 process compatibility, dimensional stability, multiple reflows capable, and multiple lamination cycles.
The I-Tera MT40 has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 200°C and a decomposition temperature (Td) of 360°C. It is available in both prepreg and laminate form in typical thicknesses and panel sizes. This laminate is CAF resistant, lead-free assembly compatible and does not require any special through-hole processing steps. It is ideal for double-sided, multilayer, hybrid, RF/microwave, and high-speed digital printed circuit designs.
