The AT-GDP-3 from ATCO (Advanced Techniques) is a Rework Station that is designed to handle PCBs up to 16 x 20 inches. It supports components ranging from 0.016 x 0.008 inches (with the 01005 option) to 2.25 x 2.25 inches. This station is suitable for reworking a variety of components including BGAs, FPGA, uBGAs, CSPs, PoP, CBGAs, QFNs, LGAs, LCCs, MLFs, QFPs, TSOPs, SOICs, flip chips, WL-CSPs, micro SMD’s, RFID dies, and micro passives. It can accommodate PCBs with a thickness of up to 0.32 inches and has a high placement accuracy of ±0.00004" (±1 micron). This machine can be used for Nitrogen soldering and is equipped with a force measurement system.
The AT-GDP-3 has a 1000 W top heater with Air/N2 convection, a 2400 W Quartz IR preheater (12" x 12" or 305 x 305 mm), and a 500 W local air convection preheater (2" OD). The temperature, time, and airflow are under closed-loop software control. It integrates advanced machine vision and thermal process control technologies for the consistent reworking of complex components. The machine offers benchtop and stand-alone configurations suitable for various environments, from R&D labs to production settings. This station uses split vision optics which enable simultaneous top and bottom component viewing, enhancing alignment. The reflow process is controlled via top and localized bottom heaters, while Nitrogen soldering is available for superior-quality joints.
The AT-GDP-3 is designed to meet precision requirements in applications ranging from R&D to volume repair centers. It is available in an enclosure that measures 1220 x 711 x 1981 mm and requires an AC supply.
