Power Spector (JSAz/JSAz+) Series

The Power Spector Desktop AOI Series from MEK Americas are Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Systems designed for SMT and THT components and solder joints. They can accommodate PCBs measuring up to 550 x 500 mm. These systems employ a 5-megapixel camera with a field of view (FOV) of 36 x 30 mm that produces images with resolutions of 15 &mum. They have an inspection speed of 0.6 seconds per FoV and support inspection of component size down to 01005 inches. These systems utilize Line Sourced DOAL (Direct On Axis Lighting) coaxial lighting to inspect solder joints without shadow effects from tall components nearby. They have 8x angular cameras for automatic inspection, defect classification and repair post-inspection. The AOI machines employ coaxial and omnidirectional lighting from different angles and with different colors to make solder defects visible. 

The Power Spector Desktop AOI Series AOI systems support camera movement in the X and Y directions. They use the Windows 7/8/10/11 operating system and can analyze defects like coplanarity, height, presence of solder, polarity, soldering, shape, and offset. An easy movement of the camera is maintained with a top and bottom clearance of 30 mm and 70 mm respectively. These AOI systems are available in enclosures that measure 1030 x 1060 x 410 mm and require an AC supply.
