The Hanwha DECAN S1 is a Pick and Place Machine that has 10 spindles and 1 gantry delivering a speed of 47,000 CPH. It has a fly camera that can detect component sizes ranging from 03015 to 16 mm and a fixed camera with a measurement field-of-view (MFOV) of 55 mm. This system can accommodate PCBs of sizes up to 510 x 510 mm and optionally up to 1500 x 460 mm. It performs automatic calibration during production to keep placement accuracy constant and maintains pickup and placement quality with a nozzle maintenance unit. This system has a placement accuracy of ±28 μm (at Cpk ≥ 1.0) for chip components and ±30 μm (at Cpk ≥ 1.0) for ICs. It increases the component recognition range using a high-pixel camera, which increases the simultaneous pickup rate and odd-shape component placement speed. This system has a function to unify the lighting level of chip components and maintain the pickup coordinates of common feeders. It has a footprint of 1430 x 1740 x 1485 mm.
