Cicor Group (SIX Swiss Exchange: CICN) has signed an agreement to acquire two production sites from Western Switzerland electronics supplier Valtronic on 27 October 2025. This acquisition will strengthen Cicor's medical technology business, secure a strategic location in the United States, and enable an important capacity expansion in Morocco.
Valtronic has more than 40 years of experience in the development, industrialization, and manufacturing of innovative medical and diagnostic devices, including active implants. In addition to its headquarters in Switzerland, Valtronic operates production facilities in Berrechid (Morocco) and Cleveland (Ohio, USA), both specializing in medical technology products.
As a result of this transaction, the Cicor Group will grow by around 220 employees and generate additional revenue of at least CHF 20 million, which could roughly double with new customers in the U.S. market. The transaction will not have a significant impact on Cicor’s balance sheet or EBITDA margin.
Local Production in the USA
The acquisition gives Cicor its first production location in the United States, a facility in excellent condition with strong local management and capacity to handle orders exceeding CHF 40 million. The move addresses Cicor’s customers’ demand for local production in the U.S. Establishing a new factory would have required much higher investment and startup costs; therefore, the acquisition of Valtronic’s Cleveland site offers an attractive and cost-efficient solution.
Capacity Doubling in Morocco
The acquisition also includes Valtronic’s Morocco site, located in the same building as Éolane Morocco, which Cicor acquired earlier in 2025. Integrating the two sites under one roof will double Cicor’s capacity at the existing location, allowing the company to meet increased demand next year from a major industrial technology customer brought by the Eolane acquisition, without significant additional investment.
The transfer of business operations to Cicor is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Over the next few months, Cicor will integrate the two sites, harmonize technical interfaces, optimize processes, and leverage the full potential of the acquisition.
This transaction strengthens Cicor’s strategic position as a leading provider of electronic solutions for demanding end markets—now also with a strong presence in North America.
