The fifth edition of Focus on PCB – From Design to Assembly, Europe’s trade fair for the printed circuit board industry, officially opened on 13th May 2026 at the Vicenza Exhibition Centre. The opening ceremony brought together institutions, trade associations, and industry professionals, highlighting the role the event plays within the Italian and European manufacturing landscape.

Global PCB production has continued to grow despite rising raw material costs and supply chain challenges caused by geopolitical uncertainty and tensions. Events such as Focus on PCB serve as platforms for solutions aimed at supporting the European electronics industry.

Opening Focuses on European Electronics Supply Chain Resilience

The exhibition was inaugurated by Danny D'Alessandro, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse Italia, who stated that Focus on PCB aims to provide a platform for industry professionals to stay informed, exchange ideas, and address new market challenges: “Focus on PCB demonstrates the resilience of the Italian and European electronics sector and aims to provide visitors and professionals with high value-added content alongside the showcase of solutions and products.”

Artificial intelligence, skills shortages and mismatches, and supply chain resilience are among the topics shaping the electronics industry and will be addressed throughout the conference sessions taking place during the two-day event.

“The exhibition will offer concrete content and proposals, reinforcing a fundamental pact between Made in Italy excellence and the Italian industrial system,” stated D’Alessandro.

Institutional greetings were also delivered by Cristina Balbi, Councillor for Economic Development and Territory of the Municipality of Vicenza, and Luca Durante, Director of the Capital Goods Office at the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), highlighting the attention local and national institutions are devoting to the sector.

One Exhibition, One Industry

Focus on PCB brings together exhibitors, designers, manufacturers, and PCB assemblers from across Europe. The 2026 edition features more than 150 exhibitors, a conference program focused on AI, supply chain resilience, and European industrial policy, as well as the Exhibitors Forum with more than twenty-five technical presentations scheduled over the two days. The exhibition is open to trade visitors until Thursday, 14 May.
