Koh Young Participates in SMTA Texas Expos to Discuss Measurement-Based 3D Inspection712370

Koh Young announced that Chris Treadway, Regional Sales Manager, will attend three upcoming SMTA Expos in Houston, Austin, and Dallas. The three one-day events, collectively referred to as the Texas Trio, combine tabletop exhibits with free technical sessions, providing electronics manufacturing professionals with an opportunity to discuss production challenges, review application requirements, and expand technical knowledge.

Unlike large trade shows that often emphasize major product launches, local SMTA Expos are designed to facilitate practical engagement. The events offer an accessible forum for engineers and production teams to exchange insights with peers, discuss real-world manufacturing constraints, and attend technical presentations spanning multiple electronics manufacturing disciplines. This format allows participants to balance direct supplier interaction with structured learning.

At each expo, attendees will be able to meet with Chris Treadway to discuss inspection applications and current production challenges. Topics include the use of measurement-based 3D inspection data to improve process control, reduce manual review effort, and accelerate decision-making when process variation is detected.

“SMTA Expos are a great way to have practical, technical conversations,” said Chris Treadway. “Bring your board, your process goals, and the challenges you are trying to solve, and we can talk through your application, what you are inspecting or measuring, and where the data can help you tighten control. The technical sessions are also a strong part of the day. Even when a topic is outside your exact process, it helps broaden your industry perspective and often sparks ideas you can bring back to your team.”
