PCB Waste Management
Due to the parameters that the Project Management team was operating within, this White Paper will focus on just one specific component of e-waste - Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). Specifically, this White Paper focuses on the waste management aspect of PCBs after the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). This White Paper does not cover waste management of the PCB manufacturing processes.
Our research covers recycling processes to determine their effectiveness, and not on the mechanics or chemistry of the processes, unless they are relevant to the outcome of the paper. The research for this report includes desk-based review of the relevant international literature, as well as consultations with experts in various areas of e-waste management. This White Paper will also examine current and legacy issues, and recommend solutions based on available technologies and methodologies available today.
