Excello Circuits, a premier PCB manufacturer known for its one-stop manufacturing solutions, offers Heavy Copper PCBs engineered for high-power and high-reliability applications. These boards incorporate two or more conductive copper layers that are significantly thicker than those used in standard PCBs, allowing them to efficiently handle higher electrical currents and manage greater thermal loads. This makes them an ideal choice for industries where durability and performance under extreme conditions are critical.

Heavy Copper PCBs are built with multiple conductive layers of exceptionally thick copper foil. During production, inner layers are processed in pairs on a core and then bonded using prepreg as the insulating layer. This multilayer construction enables components to be mounted on both sides of the board while accommodating additional internal tracking and electrical connections. Vias are strategically employed to create seamless electrical pathways between layers, ensuring consistent conductivity and dependable functionality.
Excello Circuits offers a broad range of technical specifications to meet diverse design requirements. Materials include FR4, aluminum, Teflon, and copper bases, with surface finishes such as HASL, ENIG, OSP, Immersion Silver, and Immersion Tin. Boards can be manufactured from single-sided to 32 layers, with trace/space down to 0.003", panel sizes up to 21" x 26", and copper weights ranging from 0.5–4 oz. for inner layers and 1–20 oz. for outer layers.
These capabilities make Excello’s Heavy Copper PCBs an excellent solution for demanding applications such as EV chargers, high-current systems, and power storage systems. By combining advanced engineering with precise manufacturing, Excello Circuits delivers rugged, high-performance PCBs that meet the most challenging electrical and thermal requirements.
