ASMPT SMT Solutions has announced the capabilities of its DEK TQ stencil printer platform, delivering core cycle times of 5 to 6.5 seconds while achieving wet print accuracy of up to ±17.0 microns at 2 Cpk, supporting fine-pitch and miniaturized components. Two model variants are available: the DEK TQ, which supports printed circuit boards up to 400 × 400 mm, and the DEK TQ L, designed for larger boards measuring up to 600 × 510 mm.
High-speed operation is enabled through new three-stage conveyor systems, the ASMPT NuMotion controller with fiber-optic cabling, and cleaning processes that are up to 50 percent faster than previous generations. The platform also incorporates new drive systems, off-belt printing, and advanced clamping mechanisms to deliver improved accuracy and a highly stable printing process.
The printers are designed to operate for extended periods with minimal operator intervention. Features such as the Dual Access Cover allow paste cartridge changes without stopping production, while automatic Smart Pin Support and integrated paste management help enable average runtimes of more than eight hours without user assistance. Multiple interface standards support seamless integration into intelligent factory environments, and a growing range of automation options is intended to simplify setup changeovers and reduce manual handling.
According to ASMPT, the DEK TQ represents a new generation of stencil printers developed from the ground up to improve precision, performance, and openness while reducing maintenance requirements. The platform combines full-area pneumatic stencil clamping, a redesigned printhead and drive system, and optimized transport technology to deliver consistent print quality and high throughput.
Additional features include efficient programming through intuitive software and offline programming via the WORKS software suite, compact footprints of 1.3 m² for the DEK TQ and 1.95 m² for the DEK TQ L, and support for back-to-back configurations in dual-conveyor production lines.
