Bold Laser Automation announced the release of its new LTX1260A 3D Inspection and Measurement and TMX Profile System, a next-generation solution developed for manufacturers that require fast, high-precision inspection of delicate and critical components. The announcement was made on January 6, 2026, in Bedford, New Hampshire.
Designed for use in medical devices, electronics, aerospace, and precision manufacturing, the LTX1260A integrates Keyence’s LJ-X8020 3D scanner with the TMX-5006 profile measurement platform. The combined system delivers non-contact, automated inspection for both geometric profiles and surface quality, helping manufacturers improve inspection speed while maintaining high accuracy.

Target applications include fuel injector nozzles and micro fasteners, medical hypodermics, catheters, stents, and guidewires, biomedical textiles and microtubes, precision nozzles for inkjet and spray devices, as well as optical fibers, glass tips, and other ultra-fine components.
“Our LTX system brings together advanced 3D scanning and profile measurement technologies into a single, operator-friendly platform,” said Todd E. Lizotte, CEO and co-founder of Bold Laser Automation.
“It not only accelerates inspection but also provides the accuracy and reliability manufacturers across industries need to improve yield and meet demanding quality standards - from complex aerospace nozzles to precision medical devices,” he added.
The LTX1260A features a dual-station design that supports 3D contamination detection and precision profile measurement using rotary and linear stages. Operation is simplified through footswitch or push-button controls, with an optional touchscreen interface available. The system includes Bold Laser Automation’s custom integration software suite with Keyence LJ-X and TMX software, enabling real-time data capture, CSV and Excel export, and QA/QC reporting.
Designed with future scalability in mind, the system supports semi-automated fixturing and soft-lock part handling for integration into automated production environments. It is built to UL, NFPA 79, and OSHA standards and incorporates an enclosed design, seismic mounts, LED safety indicators, and comprehensive documentation.
According to the company, the LTX1260A combines ergonomic design with robust automation capabilities, offering manufacturers a practical path to higher throughput, consistent quality assurance, and reduced risk of defects in precision production environments.
