SCHMID Group Wins Order for Wet Process Systems to Support AI Server Board Manufacturing712370

SCHMID Group announced that it has received a purchase order valued in the lower two-digit million USD range from an Asian PCB manufacturer for HDI multilayer production line equipment. The order was placed by a Chinese high-technology PCB manufacturer serving hyperscale and data center infrastructure markets and covers multiple wet process systems for high-layer-count HDI multilayer boards used in AI server boards and high-performance computing (HPC) platforms.

The equipment will support the manufacturing of server boards used in AI accelerators, data center networking hardware, and HPC systems. The order includes SCHMID’s InfinityLine H+ and InfinityLine V+ wet processing platforms designed for high-density multilayer PCB production.

“AI server boards and HPC platforms are pushing HDI multilayer technology to new limits in terms of layer count, precision, and reliability,” said Roland Rettenmeier, Chief Sales Officer at SCHMID Group.

The systems will be installed at the customer’s production facility to support volume manufacturing for technology companies operating in the AI and HPC sectors. The order reflects growing demand for manufacturing equipment capable of producing PCBs with higher layer counts and tighter structures required for AI infrastructure.

Headquartered in Freudenstadt, Germany, SCHMID Group supplies wet process equipment for the electronics manufacturing industry. Founded in 1864, the company employs more than 800 people and operates technology centers and production facilities in Germany and China.
