SMTmax Launches New Pick-and-Place Machine for Larger PCB Assemblies and Higher Feeder Capacity712370

SMTmax announced the introduction of the QM6064 Automatic Pick and Place Machine, designed for manufacturers requiring larger PCB handling capabilities, increased feeder capacity, and higher production throughput. The QM6064 features a 500 x 370 mm PCB working area (approximately 19.7" x 14.6"), making it suitable for larger circuit boards and panelized assemblies.

The machine is equipped with six placement heads and supports up to 64 feeder ports, allowing operators to keep more components loaded and ready for production. Designed for prototype, low-volume, and medium-volume manufacturing environments, the QM6064 includes an automatic conveyor system, vision-assisted component alignment, automatic fiducial recognition, and support for electric and pneumatic feeders.

Key features include:

  • Six placement heads
  • 500 x 370 mm PCB working area (19.7" x 14.6")
  • 64 feeder ports
  • Automatic conveyor system
  • Vision-assisted component centering
  • Automatic fiducial recognition
  • Down-looking camera for programming and placement verification
  • Support for reel feeders, cut tape, matrix trays, and waffle trays
  • PPM operation software included

The standard package includes an automatic conveyor system, computer and monitor, nozzle set, PPM software, pneumatic feeder-ready ports, electric feeder-ready ports, and waffle tray mounting brackets. Feeders are available separately in 8 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 24 mm, 32 mm, and 44 mm sizes.

The QM6064 is available now from SMTmax and is supported from the company's Cypress, California facility, where customers can receive training, technical support, machine demonstrations, and application assistance.
